Job summary

The Nurse Practitioner role in inpatient Labor/Delivery at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Inc. is a leadership position within a dedicated care area in Beaumont, TX.

The NP provides advanced practice clinical leadership, collaborates with the Nursing Executive team, and supports high-quality maternity care. As part of the nursing leadership team, you lead and coordinate care, participate in policy implementation, and promote evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes and safety

Qualifications

• MSN required.
• 6 months - 1 year related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for a designated patient care area and ensure efficient nursing care.
• Collaborate with the Chief Nursing Executive and medical staff to promote hospital goals.
• Facilitate communication between nursing staff, medical staff and other departments.
• Prescribe and direct nursing therapies within advanced practice scope, as appropriate.
• Interpret laboratory/diagnostic results and monitor patient responses to therapies.
• Disseminate research findings and stay current with evidence-based nursing practices.
• Maintain clinical expertise aligned with patient populations’ needs.

Education

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

Current APRN license in the State of Texas

BLS certification
