Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Park, FL seeks an experienced Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join East Campus. You will conduct comprehensive health assessments, order labs and medications within scope, and manage care plans for oncology patients.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years oncology in hospital outpatient settings, APRN license, and strong communication skills. This full-time role offers day shifts, competitive pay, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s in Nursing and APRN license.
• Oncology experience required; hospital outpatient experience preferred.
• Oncology certifications are preferred but not required with oncology experience.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive health assessments, including physical examinations, patient histories, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
• Initiates orders for medications, labs, and treatments within scope and policy.
• Identifies health status changes and implements appropriate interventions.
• Diagnoses and manages acute and chronic conditions across organ systems.
• Develops and evaluates individualized plans of care considering age-specific needs.

Job Description:

Schedule: Monday- Friday 8 am -4:30 pm.

Location: East Campus

• Conducts comprehensive health assessments, including physical examinations, patient histories, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
• Initiates orders for medications, laboratory studies, diagnostic testing, and treatments within scope of practice and organizational policy.
• Identifies alterations in patient health status and implements appropriate nursing and medical interventions.
• Diagnoses and manages acute and chronic health conditions across organ systems.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized plans of care, considering age-specific needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Abilities in the use of specialized equipment used in respective area of practice [Required]
• Strong interpersonal skills, excellent conflict resolution, and communication skills [Required]

Work Experience:

• Ideal candidate has at minimum 3 years' experience in oncology
• Certified in Oncology preferred, other national certification considered but must have oncology experience

Licenses and Certifications:

• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Preferred]

$92,227.20 - $171,537.60
