Job summary

Penn State Health Medical Group LLC in Wyomissing, PA, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a multidisciplinary care team, providing comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis, and management within the scope of the Pennsylvania nurse practice act.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s Degree in Nursing, current CRNP licensure in Pennsylvania, and at least two years of RN experience; NP certification in a specialty is preferred.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an expert in pathophysiology, physical assessment and diagnosis, pharmacology and exercises authority in health promotion and disease management. The NP functions as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team and provides a wide range of patient services to a specific patient population across the continuum of health care. By utilizing the nursing process, scientific reasoning and critical problem solving, NPs practice within the scope of responsibilities and prescriptive authority defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and the Medical Staff Executive at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Masters Degree in Nursing with clinical specialization required.
  • Two (2) years' work experience as a RN required.
  • Current licensed to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Certification as an NP in the area of practice specialization is preferred.
