Job summary

Penn State Health Medical Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team in Wyomissing, PA. The NP will apply advanced clinical knowledge to patient care, conduct assessments, manage disease states, and work within the scope defined by the state board and medical staff.

Minimum qualifications include a Master's in Nursing and PA RN licensure as a CRNP, with 2 years of RN experience. Preference given to NP certification in the area of practice.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an expert in pathophysiology, physical assessment and diagnosis, pharmacology and exercises authority in health promotion and disease management. The NP functions as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team and provides a wide range of patient services to a specific patient population across the continuum of health care. By utilizing the nursing process, scientific reasoning and critical problem solving, NPs practice within the scope of responsibilities and prescriptive authority defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and the Medical Staff Executive at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Masters Degree in Nursing with clinical specialization required.
• Two (2) years' work experience as a RN required.
• Current licensed to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

• Certification as an NP in the area of practice specialization is preferred.
