Position Details

• Position: Nurse Practitioner - FNP
• Location: Wilmore, KY 40390
• Pay: $70 - $80/hr
• Duration: Long-term assignment (discussed during interview)
• Schedule: 8 am to 4:30 pm (Mon to Fri) - 40 hours weekly

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and diagnoses for acute and chronic illnesses, consulting with healthcare professionals as needed.
• Prescribe medications, treatments, and medical devices, issuing prescriptions for non-scheduled legend drugs per Kentucky Revised Statutes.
• Provide cross-coverage in the absence of the Medical Director or colleagues.
• Perform physical and/or psychiatric examinations and preventative health measures in alignment with physician guidelines.
• Conduct annual reviews, discharge planning, summaries, and psychoactive drug regimen reviews in coordination with pharmacy services.
• Offer patient and family counseling and education on treatments, diagnoses, and end-of-life care.
• Participate in medical and nursing committees, attending multidisciplinary team meetings and medical staff meetings as required.

Essential Requirements

• Must have an active Nurse Practitioner License in Kentucky.
• Previous experience in a long-term care setting is highly preferred.
• DEA License preferred.
• Must have an active BLS/CPR certification or willing to obtain post-offer; ACLS preferred.
• Must have a clean background.
