Responsibilities

• Operate within approved protocols for health management of acute and chronically ill patients.
• Meet with patients in a clinic setting.
• Identify health status by taking medical histories, performing examinations, and evaluating test results.
• Initiate and evaluate screening and diagnostic procedures.
• Assess the health status of each patient and initiate appropriate therapeutic intervention.
• Provide patients with comprehensive information for informed decisions.
• Refer cases to a physician for further diagnosis and treatment.
• Coordinate with the patient care team to develop treatment plans.
• Keep current and accurate records.
• Interact professionally with patient and family or representatives.
• Consider patient cultural, psychological, social, and environmental factors.
• Respond to medical emergencies as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
