Job summary

Confluence Health in Washington state is seeking a Nurse Practitioner with active RN/ARNP licensure and prescriptive authority to deliver primary health care in hospital and clinic settings.

You will perform examinations, diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, and educate patients while maintaining comprehensive medical records and collaborating with physicians to optimize patient outcomes. A CPR certification is required and some duties may vary by department.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) and ARNP licensure with prescriptive authority in Washington, required by start date.
• Must be eligible to practice as ARNP in the state of Washington.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary health care to patients, including examination, diagnosis, and treatment of chronic and acute illnesses; refer to physician as needed; write prescriptions and perform office procedures.
• Counsel patients and families on physical and emotional health topics.
• Participate in health promotion activities and clinical care planning.
• Maintain thorough medical records in the EMR system.
• Record statistics and conduct necessary research as deemed appropriate.
• Collaborate with staff and physicians to identify patient needs and plan care.
• Maintain active Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
• Other duties as assigned.

Summary

Provides primary health care services to hospital and clinic patients. Performs examinations; performs or orders diagnostic test; establishes diagnosis; prescribes medication; instructs patients and family members about continuing care.

Please Note: Eligibility to work in Grant County is 4 years of experience.

Essential Functions

• Provide primary health care to patients. Examination, diagnosis, and treatment of both chronic and acute episodic illnesses and minor injuries. Refers to physician as needed. Writes prescriptions and performs office procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment.
• Counsels patients and families and helps them understand issues related to physical and emotional health.
• Participates in health promotional activities.
• Participates in decisions, planning, and policies related to clinical care.
• Maintains thorough and complete medical records in a timely manner and demonstrates proficiency in using the Electronic Medical Record documentation system.
• Records statistics and conducts research as deemed necessary.
• Collaborates with staff and physicians to identify patient’s needs and help develop plan to meet those needs.
• Required to maintain active Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
• Other duties as assigned.
