Boston Medical Center (BMC) - Brighton is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Practitioner to join our Endocrinology practice. The role focuses on diabetes care and outpatient endocrine management within the Endocrinology Division of the Department of Medicine.
The APP will provide inpatient endocrinology consultation coverage, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and participate in quality improvement initiatives while leveraging emerging diabetes technologies.
Dually reporting to the Collaborating Physician and the Administrative Director, the licensed and credentialed Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides diagnosis, treatment, consultation, and follow-up under the direction of one or more physicians in the clinic or inpatient setting. The NP performs age and specialty appropriate physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines. As an expert professional, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process, supervision of clinical practice, research involvement, consultative services, inter and intradepartmental liaison, education, leadership and patient care management across the health care continuum from preventative, acute care through discharge. Will help support the oversight of students.
