Job summary

Boston Medical Center's Endocrinology program in Brighton is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to provide outpatient endocrine care with a focus on diabetes, and to deliver inpatient endocrinology consultations.

You'll work with physicians, pharmacists and educators, use CGM and insulin delivery technologies, and participate in quality improvement, research, and program development. Massachusetts licensure or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in Massachusetts.
  • Strong interest in endocrinology and outpatient specialty care.
  • New graduates with a demonstrated interest in endocrinology are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient endocrine care at the BMC Brighton Endocrinology Clinic, with a focus on diabetes care.

Position Overview

Dually reporting to the Collaborating Physician and the Administrative Director, the licensed and credentialed Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides diagnosis, treatment, consultation, and follow-up under the direction of one or more physicians in the clinic or inpatient setting. The NP performs age and specialty appropriate physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines. As an expert professional, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process, supervision of clinical practice, research involvement, consultative services, inter and intradepartmental liaison, education, leadership and patient care management across the health care continuum from preventative, acute care through discharge. Will help support the oversight of students.

Compensation

Compensation Range: $109,000.00- $158,000.00 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness. In addition, BMCHS offers generous total compensation that includes, but is not limited to, benefits (medical, dental, vision, pharmacy), discretionary annual bonuses and merit increases, Flexible Spending Accounts, 403(b) savings matches, paid time off, career advancement opportunities, and resources to support employee and family well-being.
