Midwest Express Clinic in Crown Point, IN seeks a Family Nurse Practitioner to lead clinical care across the lifespan in a fast-paced setting. You will collaborate with Medical Assistants, radiology staff, leadership, and physicians to deliver high-quality, compassionate care aligned with MEC standards.

The ideal candidate holds an NP degree with an active FNP license in IL or IN, enjoys team leadership, and is capable of handling diverse urgent care procedures while prioritizing patient

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages with acute illnesses and injuries.
• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing results (lab and radiology).
• Perform procedures such as laceration repair, incisions and drainage, foreign body removal, splinting, nail procedures, injections, DOT physicals, and occupational medicine services.
• Prescribe medications within scope of practice and maintain accurate EMR documentation.

The Role

The Family Nurse Practitioner serves as a key clinical leader within the clinic, providing evidence-based care services while fostering an exceptional patient experience. This role partners closely with Medical Assistants, Radiologic Technologists, leadership, and physicians to deliver efficient, high-quality care that aligns with MEC's standards for service, safety, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Clinical Excellence

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
• Develop and implementappropriate treatmentplansutilizingevidence-based medicine
• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing including laboratory and radiology results
• Perform procedures including:
• Laceration repair
• Incision and drainage
• Foreign body removal
• Splinting
• Nail procedures
• Injections
• DOT physicals
• Occupational medicine services
• Prescribe medications and therapies withinscopeof practice
• Ensureaccurate,timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record

WhatWe’reLooking For

Required:

• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active Family Nurse Practitioner license in Illinois and/or Indiana.
• Ability to treat patients across the lifespan.
• Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

• Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, or Occupational Medicine experience.
• Experience performing common urgent care procedures.
• DOT Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Scheduling Requirements:

• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Flexibility to support multiple clinic locations

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is$125,000-130,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
