Midwest Express Clinic (MEC) is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide leadership and evidence-based care in a fast-paced clinic setting. The role partners with medical assistants, radiologic technologists, and physicians to deliver high-quality patient care while meeting MEC's safety and service standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or Doctorate in an accredited NP program with an active IL/IN license, capable of treating patients across the lifespan, and demonstrating strong

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages with acute illnesses and injuries.

• Perform procedures such as laceration repair, incision and drainage, splinting, injections, DOT physicals.
• Prescribe medications within scope and maintain accurate EMR documentation.
• Lead clinically and collaborate with clinic team.

The Role

The Family Nurse Practitioner serves as a key clinical leader within the clinic, providing evidence-based care services while fostering an exceptional patient experience. This role partners closely with Medical Assistants, Radiologic Technologists, leadership, and physicians to deliver efficient, high-quality care that aligns with MEC's standards for service, safety, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Clinical Excellence

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
• Develop and implementappropriate treatmentplansutilizingevidence-based medicine
• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing including laboratory and radiology results
• Perform procedures including:
  • Laceration repair
  • Incision and drainage
  • Foreign body removal
  • Splinting
  • Nail procedures
  • Injections
  • DOT physicals
  • Occupational medicine services
• Prescribe medications and therapies withinscopeof practice
• Ensureaccurate,timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record

• Support clinic goals related to patient flow, efficiency, and quality metrics

• Adapt to varying patient volumes, staffing needs, and clinic locations as business needs require

WhatWe’reLooking For

Required:

• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active Family Nurse Practitioner license in Illinois and/or Indiana.
• Ability to treat patients across the lifespan.
• Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

• Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, or Occupational Medicine experience.
• Experience performing common urgent care procedures.
• DOT Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Scheduling Requirements:

• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Flexibility to support multiple clinic locations

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is$125,000-130,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
