Description:Support staff includes 4 Advanced Practice Providers who are supervised.An attending physician supervises during the day shift, while a fellow supervises during the night shifts.Some independence is required.Coverage required for 3x13 hour shifts per week.Shifts are from 6 AM to 7 PM and 6 PM to 7 AM.Candidates must be available for weekends, with a preference for 4 weekend shifts per month.Friday nights count as a weekend shift.Providers are not required to work 3x13s every weekend.The minimum requirement is 2 weekend shifts per month.The facility is a teaching hospital.The practice setting is in the Intensive Care Unit.Electronic medical records are managed with specific software.The average daily census includes 7 patients, with a total of 10 beds available.The patient age group is adult.Procedures include routine ICU and medical-surgical care.There are 1 to 2 burn patients, but no intubations, lines, vents, transplants, ECHO, head patients, or complex neuro strokes.Advanced Practice Providers act as responding clinicians only and do not perform procedures.Local candidates are preferred for easy commuting.
