UW Health in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a Family Practice role. The 100% FTE position offers a standard clinic schedule, 5 days per week, with hours typically 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

No weekends, holidays, or on-call obligations. You will conduct chart reviews, perform in-person and telehealth visits, coordinate care with the Pre-Anesthesia Medical Director and Surgical Team, and order tests and medications as needed.

Qualifications

• NPs or PAs must hold active licensure in Wisconsin and prescriptive authority.
• DE A license or ability to obtain one as applicable prior to hire.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:

• Conduct chart reviews
• Perform in-person, telehealth, and potentially emergency in-person consults
• Coordinate care team with Pre-Anesthesia Medical Director or Site Physician and Surgical Team
• Order additional tests and medications as needed

Education

If Nurse Practitioner*: Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program.

If Physician Assistant*: Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program.

Licenses and Certifications

Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure

• Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Adult, Adult/Gerontology Primary Care, Adult Acute Care, or Family.
• Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND Active PA board certification

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
