Job summary

Scripps Health in San Diego search for a Nurse Practitioner to support the Cardiology inpatient department. This Part Time role includes On Call shifts, with about 10-15 patients daily, requiring strong Cardiology/Cath Lab background and independent work style.

The ideal candidate will have experience with structural heart procedures such as TAVR, Watchman, or MitraClip and be dedicated to patient-centered care in a collaborative hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Cardiology inpatient experience preferred for this role.
• Cath Lab background advantageous for rounds and procedures.
• Self-directed and able to work independently in a hospital setting.
• Experience with structural heart procedures is a plus (TAVR, Watchman, MitraClip).

Responsibilities

Scripps is looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to support our Cardiology inpatient department at Scripps Mercy San Diego. Ranked #1 in San Diego by US News and World Report. The Nurse Practitioner will provide clinician expertise while rounding with Cardiac procedural patients, ranging from approximately 10-15 patients per day. The ideal candidate will have a Cardiology, Cath Lab background, be self-directed and able to work independently. Having previous experience with the following structural heart procedures such as TAVR, Watchmans and MitraClip is also preferred.

The Nurse Practitioner, through involvement in clinical consultation and direct patient care, assesses and improves the patient care process for a defined population along the continuum of care.
