Job summary

Scripps Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PreOp-PACU in our La Jolla Memorial hospital tower. This full-time benefited position features 12-hour shifts with a start window 08:30 to 11:30 and occasional on-call shifts.

Join a Magnet hospital with a high-performing perioperative unit, providing care across cardiac cath lab, operating room, interventional radiology and endoscopy, emphasizing teamwork, evidence-based practice and patient-centered outcomes in sunny San Diego.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year RN experience.
• Current CA RN License.
• Current BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association.
• Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Take primary responsibility for patient care as delivered by the Care Team under supervision.
• Collaborate with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

T his is a Full time (72 hours per pay period), benefited position as a RN in the PreOp-PACU department in our brand new tower at La Jolla Memorial hospital. It has a varied 12 hour shift with a start time between 0830-1130 . There is a requirement of 1-2 call shifts in a schedule period (4 weeks) and we do have a Saturday required shift in a rotation, but it is very minimal.

Provide direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care

Required

• Minimum 1 year RN experience
• Current CA RN License
• Current BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association
• Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
• Strongly preferred - PreOp -PACU RN experience
• ICU or Emergency department RN experience
• Flexibility with work environments within the department
