Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing is required.
• Current APRN/NP license is required with national certification preferred.
• At least five years of healthcare experience, preferably in substance use treatment.

Responsibilities

• Delivers all aspects of patient care including diagnosis, treatment and consultations.
• Forms initial detoxification plan with diagnostic strategies and interventions.
• Provides guidance on health improvement, risk reduction and disease prevention to staff and clients.
• Acts as senior medical professional on site and collaborates with consulting physician.
• Evaluates patient response to medications and adjusts care plans as needed.
• Monitors patient progress and addresses barriers to detoxification and recovery.
• Documents examinations, treatment plans and referrals to ensure compliance.
• Coordinates with intake/admissions to ensure medical appropriateness prior to admission.
• Other duties as assigned

Education

Master's degree in Nursing

Post basic program certificate in a clinical nursing specialty

Current license as an APRN or NP (national certification preferred)
