Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare in Concord, NC is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our medical team at an adult detoxification and residential treatment facility. You will provide comprehensive medical care, conduct evaluations, manage withdrawal concerns, and support individualized treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in North Carolina.
• Minimum of one year of experience in substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, or a related clinical setting.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment‑planning skills.
• Ability to provide safe, evidence‑based medical care to adults with complex healthcare needs.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and clinical decision‑making skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct medical care to adult clients in detoxification and residential treatment.
• Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and clinical assessments.
• Evaluate and manage withdrawal‑related symptoms and other medical concerns.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and monitor treatment effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Program Director, nursing staff, therapists, and other team members.
• Identify medical or psychiatric concerns requiring escalation or referral.
• Coordinate with hospitals and primary care providers for continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation and comply with regulations.
• Follow applicable laws, professional practice standards, and policies.
• Support a safe, therapeutic environment focused on stabilization and recovery.
