Job summary

Wellpath is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive medical care to incarcerated patients in a Texas correctional facility. You will work under the Site Medical Director and ensure appropriate documentation and coordination of services, including emergency coverage and continuity of care.

Responsibilities include routine and emergency medical care, SOAP documentation, and collaboration with the Medical Director.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Advanced degree in an NP program.
• Current NP license in the state of employment.
• CPR certification.
• Corrections experience preferred; ability to work in a corrections environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine and emergency medical care for incarcerated patients.
• Document care using SOAP format and adhere to formulary regimens.
• Coordinate coverage during emergencies and schedule changes with Medical Director/Health Services Administrator.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy for incarcerated individuals.
• Participate in facility committees as requested.
