Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to perform comprehensive assessments, diagnose, order and interpret tests, and prescribe treatments for acute and chronic illnesses. The NP will work autonomously and in collaboration with health care professionals to manage patient health problems and contribute to advocacy, research, and performance improvement.

Qualifications

Current Georgia License as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is required.
Current Georgia Authorization/Certification as a NP Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is required.
American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
Master's Degree in Nursing from the Georgia Board of Nursing Graduate School NP program is required.
Previous experience in area of specialty preferred.

Performs comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, orders, conducts, supervises, interprets diagnostic and laboratory tests, and prescribes treatments for acute and chronic illnesses.
Promotes health and prevention of illness and injury.
Practices autonomously and in collaboration with other health care professionals to manage patient health problems.
Direct patient/family care, consultation, research, and advocacy at patient, family, group, and community levels.
