Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform comprehensive assessments, make diagnoses, order and interpret tests, and prescribe treatments for acute and chronic conditions at Camp Creek Health Center. The role emphasizes autonomous practice with collaborative support from a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires an NP/APN or PA degree, Georgia licensure, and an active BLS.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing as Advanced Practice Nurse OR Master’s Degree as a Physician Assistant.
• Georgia Authorization as an Advanced Practice Provider Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Two or more years as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, orders, conducts, supervises, interprets diagnostic and laboratory tests, and prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments in the management of acute and chronic illness.
• Promotes health and prevention of illness and injury; practices autonomously and in collaboration with other health care professionals.
• Involves direct patient/family care, consultation, research, patient/families/groups, and communities advocacy, performance improvement, and leadership & professional development.
