There are also two outdoor courtyards, as well as offices and administrative spaces. The x-shaped design separates the 100 patient beds into four 25 bed wings and centralizes staff for security and operational efficiencies. Three of the inpatient units are designated for adults (18+) and the fourth unit is specifically designed for adolescents ages 13-17. It is the hospital's aim to provide a "home-like environment" to promote a holistic, patient centered approach to mental health.
