• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Mississippi.
• Certification as an NP (e.g., ANCC, AANP).
• DEA license and buprenorphine waiver (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in substance abuse or behavioral health.
• Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing with focus in Family/Adult/PMH preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including exams and medical history reviews.
• Order, interpret, and monitor diagnostic tests to inform care.
• Develop diagnoses for substance use and co‑occurring disorders.
• Create individualized treatment plans with evidence‑based practices.
• Prescribe and manage medications, including MAT, per protocols.
• Educate patients and families on treatment options and recovery goals.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing staff to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and ongoing education.
