Job summary

Acadia Healthcare's Winchester Comprehensive Treatment Center in Winchester, VA is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced nursing care in an outpatient MAT program. You will perform evaluations, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications per state regulations as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include initial assessments, monitoring treatment, ordering labs, collaborating with the Medical Director, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of NP practice preferred.
• Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings preferred.
• Familiar with MAT medications (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone).
• Understand state regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2).
• No history of substance misuse for three years before employment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and annual evaluations and assess treatment eligibility.
• Prescribe medications as allowed by state regulation.
• Monitor treatment plans for high‑risk patients and coordinate with the Medical Director.
• Order labs, review results, and provide education and follow‑up services.
• Ensure compliance with clinic policies and collaborate with the team.
