Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare seeks a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to deliver clinical services in both inpatient and outpatient settings, working under the supervision of a physician and with the Nursing Services leadership. You will assess patients, develop treatment plans, order tests, and prescribe therapies within scope.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies required.
• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Virginia License or eligible, required.
• MSN, required.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• Current Virginia state certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, required.
• Recent adult medical-surgical experience (5 years of experience), required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments for diagnosis and treatment.
• Develop differential diagnoses and treatment plans with appropriate diagnostics.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies; provide education and referrals as needed.
• Prescribe non-pharmacological and pharmacological therapies within scope.
• Provide emergency care per ACLS guidelines; respond to emergencies as needed.
• Participate in review and development of policies and practice guidelines.
