Job summary

Qualifications

Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Virginia or eligible.
MSN required.
Virginia Adult Nurse Practitioner certification required.
Virginia PA license required.
Recent adult medical-surgical experience (5 years) required.
AHA BLS Provider CPR required.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with physician to discuss diagnosis, testing, surgery and risks.
Perform comprehensive health assessments for diagnosis and treatment.
Develop treatment plans including diagnostics and non-pharmacological interventions.
Provide education to patients and families and make referrals as needed.
Order and interpret diagnostic studies.
Prescribe therapies within scope of practice per supervisor guidelines.
Demonstrate organization and decision-making in practice.
Provide emergency care per ACLS guidelines.
