Lexington Clinic is seeking an APRN to assist physicians in delivering primary medical care in a Lexington, KY setting. The role includes collecting patient histories and physical data, interpreting findings, and aiding in diagnostic and therapeutic decisions.

The APRN will support treatment plan management, provide technical assistance, and ensure high-quality patient care while maintaining strong relationships with patients, families, and staff under physician supervision.

Qualifications

• Graduate from accredited graduate nursing program.
• Current KY board licensure and Advanced Practitioner RN registration.
• Exam eligible or certified as a nurse practitioner at national level.

SUMMARY:

The APRN functions to assist the physician in the delivery of primary medical care; obtains historical/physical data on patients; interprets and integrates findings to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; assists in management of treatment plans, provides technical assistance and assurance of patient care; maintains positive relationships with patients, family members, visitors and fellow employees; practices under supervision and guidance of the physician.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Formal training that will be indicated by graduation from an accredited program school of graduate nursing; current KY board licensure; current state board of nursing licensure; Advanced Practitioner RN registration; exam eligible or certified a nurse practitioner at national level.

PHYSICAL GUIDELINES:

Physical guidelines include the ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps up to eight hours per day; lift, move and transport patients, equipment, supplies; motor coordination and manual dexterity; ability to communicate effectively; ability to read/understand orders; visual acuity.
