Job summary

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.
• Current Tennessee RN license and Advanced Practice Nurse or PA license.
• Minimum three years of patient-care experience in a clinic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs complete physical exams and records findings.
• Maintains and reviews patient records and charts.
• Orders and, when appropriate, performs labs and diagnostic procedures.
• Determines preliminary diagnoses and therapeutic plans.
• Educates patients and families about medications, health and prevention.
• Assists physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs.
• Provides continuity of care between physician visits.
• Triages calls and provides nursing consultations.
