Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our West Palm Beach, FL health center. You’ll provide care to client employees, perform occupational health exams, injections, wound care, and diagnostic testing, while collaborating with physicians and safety teams.

This role emphasizes returning injured workers to meaningful work and promoting health in a supportive, patient-focused environment within Premise Health's comprehensive care model.

Qualifications

• Active RN and NP licenses to practice.
• State prescriptive authority where applicable.
• Federal DEA license to practice.
• State narcotics/controlled substance license where required.
• National certification (ANCC or AANP).
• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN).
• BLS/ACLS certification as required.
• Occupational health certification preferred (COHN/COHN-S).
• At least three years of NP clinical experience in ambulatory/occupational health/family practice/ED.
• Experience in occupational health settings and site visits.

Responsibilities

• Ensures regulatory compliance and completes required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC).
• Conducts fitness-for-duty and return-to-work examinations.
• Performs injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Provides medically appropriate care to injured workers and coordinates with TPA and client.
• Implements transitional duty programs and monitors progress.
• Develops patient care plans and records progress for continuity of care.
• Educates patients on treatment plans and health maintenance.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Supports Health Promotion programs, safety, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
• Refers patients to specialists when needed.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date health records.
• Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Full Time Nurse Practitioner (NP), you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in West Palm, FL.

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Position anticipated start date will be February 1, 2027

What You’ll Do

• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.).
• Conducts fitness for duty and return to work physical exams as requested.
• Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Provides medically appropriate care to injured workers using evidence-based guidelines, expedites the return to meaningful work, and collaborates with the TPA and client to quarterback case management.
• Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers.
• Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care.
• Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Collaborates with Medical director and client stakeholders on Health Promotion programs, surveillance needs, ergonomics, process development, and other related safety/injury prevention opportunities.
• Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed.
• Maintains patient health records ensure complete, accurate and up-to-date documentation and records.
• Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• Maintains state RN licenses/certificates to practice.
• Maintains NP licenses/certificates to practice.
• Maintains State Prescriptive Authority (if applicable) .
• Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable) .
• State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state (Alabama, Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Puerto Rico) (New York ROPES registration).
• Current national certification (ANCC or AANP required).
• Master’s Degree in Science of Nursing (if Master Degree in Science certificate does not state Nursing on it then a copy of transcripts is required).
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.
• Certification in occupational health (COHN/COHN-S/COHN-S/CM) preferred.
• At least three years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting.
• Experience working in an occupational health setting is preferred.
• Experience performing site visits and working with safety teams establishing ways to mitigate workplace hazards.
