Summit Placement Service, Inc. is assisting a dermatology practice in Temecula, CA to recruit a Physician Assistant who will train in general dermatology and cosmetic treatments, with a starting pay range of $150,000 to $175,000 and full benefits.

The ideal candidate will perform patient assessments, assist with procedures, develop treatment plans, and document visits in EMR, collaborating closely with supervising dermatologists.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and review medical histories.
• Diagnose and treat dermatologic conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis.
• Perform dermatologic procedures under supervision (biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions, suturing).
• Assist cosmetic dermatology treatments (peels, lasers, injectables) if applicable.
• Provide patient education on skincare and post-procedure care.
• Maintain thorough EMR documentation and coordinate with supervising dermatologists.

The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care in a dermatology practice setting, diagnosing and treating various skin conditions, performing minor procedures, and educating patients on skincare and treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and treat a variety of dermatologic conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, and skin infections.
• Prescribe medications and recommend treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Procedures:
• Perform dermatologic procedures, such as biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions, and suturing under supervision.
• Assist in cosmetic dermatology treatments like chemical peels, laser treatments, and injectable therapies (if applicable).
• Patient Education:
• Educate patients on proper skincare routines, treatment plans, and preventative measures.
• Provide post-procedure care instructions and ensure patient understanding.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with supervising dermatologists to develop and execute treatment plans.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Documentation:
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient visits, treatments, and follow-ups in compliance with legal and medical standards.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) for efficient documentation.
