Job summary

Cancer Care Northwest seeks a Radiation Therapist to join our multispecialty practice. You will administer radiation therapy, position patients, and collaborate with oncologists and staff to ensure accurate treatment across locations including hospital settings.

We require ARRT certification, an accredited RTT program background, and a valid state license, with at least 3 years of RTT practice and strong patient-care focus.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
  • Minimum 3 years actively practicing as an RTT; ARRT certification required.
  • Must hold a valid state license for radiation therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed radiation therapy according to protocols.
  • Position patients and deliver doses per treatment plan.
  • Support radiation therapy department with care, records, safety and QA.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort and compliance during treatment.
  • Operate and maintain radiation equipment to high standards.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, dosimetry, physics and staff.
  • Be proficient with radiation therapy equipment and software.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Provide coverage across locations including hospital settings.

Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatment in accordance with established protocols.
  • Accurately position patients and deliver the prescribed dose to correspond with the designated treatment plan.
  • Assist the radiation therapy department with patient care, treatment delivery, treatment records, radiation safety, and quality assurance functions.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and compliance throughout the treatment process.
  • Operate and maintain radiation equipment to the highest standards.
  • Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists, dosimetry, physics, and other healthcare professionals to deliver accurate and timely treatment.
  • Proficient in the use of radiation therapy equipment and software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt and excel in a float position, providing coverage across various locations as needed including the hospital setting.
  • Dedication to patient care and safety.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience actively practicing as an RTT. ARRT certification required. Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.
Physical Demands

Occasionally lifts and carry items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Work Environment

The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Work will involve interaction with co-workers and management and/or clients. Work may require minimal travel by automobile to office sites.

Salary Range

DOE - $44.22 - $66.33
