Overview

Cancer Care Northwest has been the Inland Northwest's premier cancer center for over five decades, providing an integrated approach to the diagnosis, treatment, and healing of cancer and blood-related diseases. We are a full-spectrum private oncology group in the Pacific Northwest and are seeking a full-time Radiation Therapist to join our multispecialty physician-owned practice. The schedule is Monday through Friday with on-call duties as needed. The role focuses on administering radiation therapy treatments, ensuring accurate positioning and dose delivery, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatment in accordance with established protocols.
  • Accurately position patients and deliver the prescribed dose to correspond with the designated treatment plan.
  • Assist the radiation therapy department with patient care, treatment delivery, treatment records, radiation safety, and quality assurance functions.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and compliance throughout the treatment process.
  • Operate and maintain radiation equipment to the highest standards.
  • Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists, dosimetry, physics, and other healthcare professionals to deliver accurate and timely treatment.
  • Proficient in the use of radiation therapy equipment and software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Adapt and excel in a float position, providing coverage across various locations as needed, including the hospital setting.
  • Dedicate to patient care and safety.
  • Accuracy in positioning the beam of radiation to correspond with the designated tumor volume and accurately delivering the prescribed dose are paramount job functions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience actively practicing as an RTT. ARRT certification required. Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.
