Job summary

Pain Specialists of America in Texas is seeking a Licensed Practitioner to manage health problems and coordinate care for patients in accordance with state and federal rules and nursing standards.

Responsibilities include performing exams, documenting histories, creating care plans, ordering and analyzing tests, monitoring responses to treatments, administering medications, consulting with healthcare professionals, and educating patients and families on pain management.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • RN licensure in Texas and board certification by ANCC or AANP.
  • Experience working with pain management patients preferred but not required.

Pain Specialists of America (“PSA” or “Company”) is a Texas-based, multisite comprehensive pain management company that includes over 20 locations, two ASCs, and a CLIA-certified laboratory located in New Braunfels. PSA is growing rapidly. We require extremely competent, talented professionals who can support the business and help it achieve its strategic objectives.

PSA is looking for a Licensed Practitioner who will be responsible for managing health problems and coordinating health care for patients in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations and the nursing standards of care.

Essential Functions

  • Perform physical exams and patient observations.
  • Record patient medical histories and symptoms.
  • Create patient care plans and contribute to existing plans.
  • Order, administer and analyze diagnostic tests.
  • Detect changes in a patient’s health and change treatment plans as necessary.
  • Administer medicines and treatments.

Requirements

Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program. Must have RN licensure in Texas and be board certified by either ANCC or AANP. Prior experience working with pain management patients is preferred but is not required.
