Job summary

Pinnacle Treatment Centers in Richmond, VA is seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner to work with physicians, therapists, and staff to deliver medication-assisted treatment and ensure continuity of care. You will monitor therapy plans, supervise dispensing operations, and coordinate patient care with the treatment team.

The role requires an active NP license, a current DEA license, and CPR/BLS certification; experience in addiction treatment is recommended.

Qualifications

  • Must have a current DEA license.
  • Must be a Nurse Practitioner licensed in accordance with state law.
  • CPR, First Aid, and BLS certification required.
  • Experience or knowledge in drug abuse treatment recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Perform parts of client physicals as directed by the physician.
  • Supervise nursing staff and dispensing operations.
  • Supervise medication storage and inventory processes and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date, accurate data in patient computer files.
  • Coordinate patient care with the PCP or other prescribing physicians.
  • Consult with counselors and supervisors at least monthly.
  • Conduct initial H&Ps and annual reviews.
  • Participate in case planning with the lead counselor and medical director.

As an APRN, you will work in coordination with the doctor to monitor and dispense medication-assisted therapy to patients. You will also consult with the patient’s therapist and other providers to ensure the treatment plan is adapted accordingly.
Requirements

  • Must have a current DEA Prescription license
  • Must be a Nurse Practitioner licensed in accordance with the laws in the State of employment
  • Must maintain continuing education credits as required by the appropriate licensing board
  • Experience or knowledge in the field of drug abuse recommended
  • Must be CPR, First Aid, and BLS certified
Responsibilities

  • Consult with counselors and supervisors as related to individual patient medical/medication needs at least one time monthly.
  • Conduct H&Ps at intake and annually thereafter.
  • Participate in case planning and consultation with the lead counselor, the facility/executive director, the project director, and the medical director as needed.
