St. Joseph Hospice in Richland, MS is seeking an experienced PRN Nurse Practitioner to join our hospice care team.

You will provide primary medical and palliative care to home-bound patients, perform exams, diagnose and manage chronic conditions, interpret lab results, and prescribe therapies with a focus on health maintenance. Mississippi license required, 2+ years NP, hospice or palliative care experience preferred; EMR experience preferred.

• Mississippi license required.
• Two or more years as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Hospice or Palliative care experience preferred.
• EMR experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform physical exams, diagnose and treat acute and chronic diseases.
• Interpret laboratory and test results.
• Prescribe and manage medications and other therapies with emphasis on health maintenance and disease prevention.

Essential daily duties include:

• Provide primary medical care and palliative care for chronic and acute illnesses to patients who are home-bound or have difficulty traveling to a physician’s office
• Provide physical exams, diagnose and treat acute and chronic diseases
• Interpret laboratory and test results
• Prescribe and manage medications and other therapies all with an emphasis on health maintenance and disease prevention

Qualifications:

• Current Mississippi license required
• Two or more years as a Nurse Practitioner
• Problem-solving skills and ability to deal with a variety of situations
• Hospice or Palliative care experience preferred
• Experience EMR preferred
• Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) – company-paid ownership benefit
