Job summary

Health and Safety Council® in Pasadena, TX is seeking an Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to evaluate and treat patients under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer. You may assist in minor surgical procedures following occupational injuries.

The role includes conducting medical examinations across locations, telemedicine evaluations, and support for case management, with after-hours availability and commitment to ongoing CME. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Proficient in performing minor surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform remote medical evaluations via telemedicine.
• Support case management by participating in calls and providing medical expertise.
• Available for after-hours calls and visits for urgent needs.
• Ensure compliance with state licensing agencies.
• Lead or assist with new clinic projects and initiatives.
• Engage in ongoing CME activities to stay current.

The Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner works under the direct supervision of the Chief Medical Officer in evaluating and treating patients. They may also assist in minor surgical procedures following occupational injuries.

• Conduct thorough medical evaluations and provide appropriate treatment for patients, ensuring high standards of care.
• Oversee the work of certified medical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective patient care.

Requirements

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to read, talk, or hear.
