Job summary

HASC, a 30+ year company serving the petrochemical and manufacturing industries, seeks a Medical Provider (NP/PA) in Port Arthur, TX, to evaluate and treat patients within occupational health programs.

You will conduct medical evaluations, supervise certified staff, assist in minor surgical procedures, and participate in telemedicine and after-hours care, while maintaining TX/LA licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Proficient in performing minor surgical procedures.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must adapt to varied environments and learn detailed procedures.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and make effective decisions.
• Cross-train and assist other departments as necessary.
• Commitment to maintaining CME credits.
• No active investigations by the Texas Medical Board.
• Active DEA and DPS certificates with no prescribing restrictions.
• Holds full and unrestricted licenses in Louisiana and Texas.

Responsibilities

• Lead or assist with new clinic projects and initiatives.
• Pursue ongoing education and training to stay current.

Position Overview

The 30+ year company supports the petrochemical and manufacturing industry domestically and internationally and is positioned along the Gulf Coast providing training, occupational medicine, and innovative solutions to industry. The Medical Provider works under the direct supervisor of the Regional Medical Director in evaluating and treating patients. He or she may also assists in minor surgical procedures following occupational injuries.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough medical evaluations and provide appropriate treatment for patients, ensuring high standards of care.
• Oversee the work of certified medical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
• Participate in minor surgical procedures, including but not limited to joint injections, laceration suture repair, wound debridement, and eye foreign body removal.
• Conduct medical examinations at various locations as needed.
• Perform remote medical evaluations through telemedicine platform.
• Support case management efforts by participating in calls and providing medical expertise.
• Available for after-hour calls and visits to address urgent medical needs.
• Ensure compliance with all state licensing agencies.
• Take initiative in leading or assisting with new clinic projects, contributing to the growth and development o the clinic.
• Engage in ongoing education and training programs to stay current with medical advancements and best practices.

Requirements
