Assesses and provides direct care to a designated group of patients. Develops, delegates and evaluates the care plans for patients in collaboration with other disciplines. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic procedures and tests. Prescribes and administers medications.

Montefiore Medical Group( MMG )

Montefiore Health System's network of primary care practices, known as Montefiore Medical Group (MMG), seeks Nurse Practitioners(NP) for our Urgent Care sites in the Bronx and Yonkers. We provide a collaborative team environment and the opportunity to make a difference in patient care in the Bronx. To qualify, you must have 2 years of post-training Urgent Care NP practice experience.

In this role, the Urgent Care NP will:

Evaluate, diagnose, and provide acute care to patients, including children, with a wide range of illnesses such as flu, colds, pink eye, back pains, strains, and injuries.

Perform urinalysis, pregnancy tests, rapid strep assays, immunizations, physicals, blood pressure checks, x-rays, and laboratory services.

Performs laceration repair as well as incision and drainage procedures for skin infections.

Administer tests for Covid.

Prescribes and administers medications.

All treatments are within the scope of primary care. No lacerations or IV administration is required.

Requirements:
