Description

The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff to provide high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with ear, nose, and throat conditions. Knowledge of medical documentation standards including ICD-10, CPT coding, and HIPAA compliance is required. This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and managing a variety of ENT-related conditions in both outpatient and procedural settings. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history and physical examinations
  • Diagnose and treat common ENT conditions such as sinusitis, allergies, ear infections, hearing issues, and throat disorders
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., imaging, labs, audiology reports)
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies
  • Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventative care
  • Collaborate with ENT physicians on complex cases and surgical planning
  • Document patient encounters accurately and timely within the EMR system
  • Participate in follow-up care and ongoing patient management
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory, safety, and infection control standards

Requirements
Education/Certification
  • Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., FNP, AGNP)
Licensure
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Ohio
  • DEA license and prescriptive authority required
Knowledge & Skills
  • Previous experience in ENT, family practice, urgent care, or related specialty preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
