Job summary

Community Health Network in Central Indiana is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for urgent care. You will provide comprehensive clinical services to patients of all ages, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute conditions, with opportunities for minor procedures and vaccinations.

You’ll work independently or with a physician, order tests, interpret results, and educate patients while documenting care in the EMR. This full-time role emphasizes patient-centered care and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full-time NP experience in urgent care or a comparable setting.
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations.
• Proficient in minor procedures such as suturing, casting, and splinting.
• Proficient in preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and review patient histories for patients of all ages.
• Order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Diagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments or medications.
• Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, and casting.
• Document encounters and treatment plans in the EMR; educate patients on care and prevention.
• Administer vaccinations and refer to specialists as needed; participate in care coordination.
• Work assigned shifts of 4, 8, or 12 hours; collaborate with physicians when required.
