Lifespan is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in East Providence, Rhode Island, to provide compassionate patient care by assessing, planning, and treating patients. You will perform examinations and educate patients while ensuring high-quality healthcare standards.
The ideal candidate holds a master's degree or equivalent experience and is licensed in Rhode Island. This position requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient-focused care.
The role offers a day shift working 8 hours from 8 AM to 5 PM with no driving required.
Reports to the Medical Director and the Director of Operations; will provide compassionate and excellent patient care by performing courteous, efficient, and accurate service. Assists with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments, and consultations.
Mentors clinical personnel, and serves as a liaison with patients, staff, providers, and leadership. Can perform independently and as part of a treatment team.

Nurse Practitioner: Master's degree from an accredited advanced practice program; Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
One of the following current licensures in the State of Rhode Island:
Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Degree and a graduate of an accredited physician assistant program. Must be certified by NCCPA. Current license as a physician assistant in the State of Rhode Island is required.
Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
Knowledge of internal medicine, generalist and family practice procedures required.
Organizational and analytical skills necessary to maintain efficient workflow.
Ability to adjust responsibilities to accommodate a fast‑paced work environment while maintaining excellent customer service and staff interactions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively and courteously deal with patients and families, clients, coworkers, clinical staff and physicians.
Progressive thinking for budget, training and quality issues.
Strong leadership qualities.
One year of related experience required, two years preferred.
Healthcare environment such as acute care hospital, physicians' office and ancillary healthcare enterprises. Any hazards are minimized by adherence to established safety procedures and precautions.
