Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner for the Jersey City Medical Center campus. The NP will provide pediatric inpatient and hospitalist services under physician supervision, delivering high-quality care to infants and children.

This salaried, day-shift position in the JCMC Pediatric Hospitalist program emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, comprehensive evaluations, care planning, and ongoing professional development within a supportive Total Rewards

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing required.
• NP Certification required.
• CDS and DEA credentials required.
• Current APN and RN licensure.
• BLS, NRP and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions under physician supervision.
• Develop and implement care plans with the healthcare team.
• Perform procedures as necessary.

Job Summary and Essential Functions

The Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner is an advanced practice registered nurse who provides health care to infants and children.

In collaboration with the Hospitalist Physician the NP has daily responsibility for the assessment and management of patients in high and low acuity.

The Nurse Practitioner practices in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to provide a continuum of primary, acute and or subspecialty healthcare to their patients.

They enhance the quality of care through education and clinical practice utilizing advanced practice, knowledge and research.

Qualifications

• Current licensure: APN and RN
• NP Certification
• Master's degree
• CDS and DEA
• BLS, NRP, and PALS
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience

Schedule

• M-F 8:30a-4:30p
• Inpatient (ER and Nursery): 2-3 days per week
• Outpatient: 1-2 days per week

Essential Functions

• Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Perform procedures as necessary
