RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner for the Jersey City Medical Center Pediatric Hospitalist team. The NP will provide care to infants and children, working under physician supervision in a multidisciplinary setting.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30a–4:30p, with inpatient ER and Nursery duties 2–3 days weekly and outpatient 1–2 days weekly. Requires NP license, Master's in Nursing, and 5+ years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Current licensure: APN and RN.
• NP Certification is required.
• Master's degree in Nursing is required.
• CDS and DEA licenses are required.
• BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of pediatric patients.
• Diagnose and treat conditions under physician supervision.
• Develop and implement patient care plans with the healthcare team.
• Perform procedures as necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and staff for coordinated care.

Job Summary And Essential Functions

The Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner is an advanced practice registered nurse who provides health care to infants and children.

In collaboration with the Hospitalist Physician the NP has daily responsibility for the assessment and management of patients in high and low acuity.

The Nurse Practitioner practices in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to provide a continuum of primary, acute and or subspecialty healthcare to their patients.

They enhance the quality of care through education and clinical practice utilizing advanced practice, knowledge and research.

Qualifications
