Job summary

Oakwayne Medical Center in Westland, MI seeks a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join a collaborative clinical team and deliver high-quality patient care. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient lives in a supportive environment.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, develop individualized care plans, order tests, prescribe medications, educate patients, and maintain accurate EHR documentation.

Qualifications

• Active NP license in Michigan.
• MSN or DNP degree from an accredited program.
• Current board certification (FNP-C, ANP-C, or relevant).
• Active DEA license and prescriptive authority in Michigan.
• BLS/ACLS certification.
• Strong clinical assessment, thinking and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with EHR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, physical exams, and health histories.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses across a diverse patient population.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging.
• Prescribe medications and manage pharmacological treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families on health management, prevention and wellness.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR system.

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred
• Excellent communication, empathy, and patient-centered bedside manner
