Promises/The Ranch TN in Dickson, TN is seeking Registered Nurses to join our team. The position offers 3 x 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and an overnight shift differential.

You will provide direct patient care, medication management and collaborate with the treatment team to promote quality outcomes in addiction and mental health care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of nursing experience.
• Valid Registered Nurse license issued by state of employment.
• Nursing degree from an accredited RN program (ADN/BSN).
• Ability to work independently.
• CPR/First Aid Certification required or obtained within mandated time frame.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality client care through assessment, monitoring and communication with physicians and treatment team.
• Coordinates admissions with Admissions Department and obtains orders.
• Monitors client self-administration of medication.
• Promotes restoration of health and client/family education; acts as a client advocate.
• Maintains infection control and adheres to policies and standards.
• Keeps informed of departmental activities through reports with Nursing leadership.
• Functions as a house supervisor in absence of supervisors.
• Coordinates lab work and referrals; participates in trainings and committee work.

Position Description:

The purpose of this position is to ensure the daily operations of the nursing department are maintained to promote quality of care to clients through assessment, medication management and direct client care

Essential Functions:

• Delivers quality client care through assessment, monitoring and communicating observations and findings with physicians and other members of the treatment team.
• Coordinates admissions with Admissions Department and obtains admission orders from physicians.
• Monitors Client self-administration of medication
• Promotes restoration of health, client and family education and serves as a client advocate.
• Maintains and adheres to established infection control/employee health program.
• Maintains compliance to all TRS policies and procedures, as well as, all state and accreditation standards.
• Coordinates with Corporate Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, and Executive Director to keep all informed of current departmental activities, plans, and developments through both oral and written reports.
• Functions as a “house supervisor” in absence of other supervisory staff.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Provides detox assessments, history and physical reports.
• Develops detox treatment
• Coordinates emergency medical care for medical and psychiatric emergencies.
• Ensures that documentation on all clients meets company and regulatory standards.
• Leads CD education groups.
• Attends monthly staff meetings and required trainings.
• Serves on various organizational teams/committees and consults with departments as needed.
• Coordinates lab work with venipuncture and medical appointments and referrals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience.
• Valid Registered Nurse license issued by state of employment.
• Nursing degree from an accredited RN program, Associates in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent customer care skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• At least 2 years' experience in substance abuse/recovery program preferred.
• CPR/First Aid Certification is required for this position. If not CPR/First Aid certified at time of hire, certification must be obtained within the state mandated time frame after first day of employment.
• Desire to work with clients suffering from the disease of addiction
• Experience with a 12 step program preferred
