Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Addresses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers.
• Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers to manage clinical situations.
