Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Pendleton, OR operating room. The role emphasizes leadership, safe surgical practice, and collaboration with anesthesia and surgeons to deliver high-quality patient care.

The RN will scrub or circulate, participate in conscious sedation, and continually reassess patient plans. Requirements include RN license in Oregon, at least one year of acute care experience, and AHA BLS; ACLS is required within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of 1 year acute care or clinic RN experience.
• Oregon RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required/within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe surgical environment with sterile technique.
• Assist anesthesia/surgeon; prepare OR equipment and lab specimens.
• Circulate and/or scrub a case as needed.
• Provide Conscious Sedation to Endoscopy patients.
• Continuously assess and prioritize patient health; adjust care plans.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our RN you will bring passion and surgical excellence to our patient. Everyday you will provide leadership and coordination, serving as a safe clinical practitioner with independent but collaborative judgment to assure high-quality, cost-effective service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe surgical environment, including sterile technique.


• Assist anesthesia/surgeon; prepare OR (equipment setup); prepare lab specimens; ensure instruments/supplies are ready.


• Be able to circulate and/or scrub a case.


• Provide Conscious Sedation to Endoscopy patients.


• Continuously assess/re-prioritize patient health status; initiate/maintain individual plan of care.


• Prioritize/perform interventions for trauma patients; respond to emergencies using critical thinking.


• Prioritize and perform patient interventions necessary for triaging patients.


• Participate in teaching.

Job Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing program.


• At least one (1) year of acute care or clinic RN experience.


• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon.


• AHA BLS Certification.


• AHA ACLS Certification within six (6) months of hire.

Preferred

• Surgical RN experience.
