New England Cancer Specialists (NECS) is currently seeking Full-Time 36 HR/ 5 day a week RN Care Managers known internally as Nurse Navigators to work directly with physician led teams in Portsmouth, NH. Experience in oncology, preferred. RNs with ED experience, Acute Care management, or with a strong desire to work in oncology are encouraged to apply. Willing to train dedicated RNs with a willingness to learn. RN Care Managers/Nurse Navigators use oncology clinical knowledge to offer individualized care to patients, families, and caregivers to help navigate along the health care continuum. They provide nursing assessments and the triage of patient care needs over the phone and in the office. Offering advice and counsel to patients as well as advising physicians of patient needs and recommended interventions. They work collaboratively with physicians, APP's, RN peers, Patient Care Coordinators, and other clinical and non-clinical personal within and outside the practice. NECS is a private medical practice composed of 18 oncologists and hematologists serving the region from 5 different locations in Maine and New Hampshire.
