Job summary

Beacon Health Options seeks a skilled Nurse Midwife to provide obstetrical and gynecological care under physician supervision, including prenatal services, labor and delivery management, and postpartum follow-up.

The role requires 24-hour on-call coverage, adherence to established nurse midwifery protocols, and collaboration with the health care team. Michigan licensure and ACNM certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a nurse midwifery educational program from an accredited school.
• Current license to practice nurse midwifery in Michigan.
• ACNM certification as a nurse midwife.

Responsibilities

• Developing plan of care according to nurse midwifery protocols.
• Seeking consultation with health care team per protocols.
• Providing prenatal, antenatal and delivery services.
• Managing labor and delivery, including maternal/fetal assessment and repairs.
• Managing postpartum course, including instruction and follow-up.
• Providing 24-hour on-call coverage and triage.
• Documenting diagnoses to facilitate insurance reimbursement.
• Maintaining patient care records.
