Job summary

Corewell Health in Royal Oak, MI is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)-II to provide full-scope midwifery care across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and gynecologic settings within outpatient clinics and hospital partners.

This contingent, part-time position involves rotating shifts with opportunities for leadership, education, and quality improvement. Strong communication and collaborative skills are essential to support patient-centered care in a diverse community.

Qualifications

• Graduated from Master’s Degree in Nurse Midwifery Program, accredited by the American College of Nurse Midwives or College of Nurse Midwifery.
• Obstetric nursing experience is required.
• Minimum 1 year of advanced practice-CNM experience is required.
• State of Michigan licensure as Registered Nurse; CNM certification by AMCB; BLS required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification within 6 months of hire.
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification through the NCC within 6 months of hire.
• Obstetrical Ultrasound certification preferred.
• Written and verbal communication and computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope midwifery care across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and gynecologic settings.
• Manage labor and spontaneous delivery, order labs, and consult when needed.
• Educate patients and families, promote patient-centered care and safety.
• Participate in leadership and quality initiatives related to obstetric services.
• Precept students and support residents and medical students.
