Job summary

Washington Regional in Northwest Arkansas is seeking a Nurse Manager to oversee day-to-day coordination of nursing staff in a Springdale dialysis clinic and participate in direct patient care. The role reports to the Director of Clinical Services and requires leadership across patient care workflows.

Qualified candidates are graduates of an accredited nursing program with an active RN license and CPR certification, and prior dialysis experience is required.

Qualifications

• Valid registered nurse license and CPR, required.
• Previous experience in a dialysis setting, required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day workflow in the clinic as it relates to patient care
• Provide ongoing training to nursing staff
• Obtain patient vitals and update patient medical history while inputting data collected into the electronic medical records system
• Prepare patients for various procedures and/or examinations and assist physicians, as needed
• Refill provider-authorized medications via electronic, fax or phone as authorized and appropriate
• Provide direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician
• Assist patient by providing direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician
• Serve as patient liaison and advocate, as needed
• Ensure patients have received all necessary educational materials
• Schedule surgeries and various diagnostic tests and provide scheduled dates to the patient

Position Summary

Work Environment

This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.
